Just pushed updates to the software install tool (all three variations) that will now show you which applications are installed already. A recent update also fixed the problem with some icons not showing up. Enjoy.

Hey everyone, just a heads up, I just updated the obr-tools and mtr-tools packages. The update is to the kernel tool specifically. You can now select to install a "previously installed kernel" and you will be given a list of kernels that you have had previously on the system. The kernels are kept in the pacman cache. This will allow you to easily downgrade to a previous kernel version if you need/want to. Hopefully it's helpful. I just pushed the update, it should be version 1.23-1
A new version of the system is now available. I'm proud to release Mate Revenge! This is the same base system, based in Arch Linux, with the Revenge Tools, but with the Mate version 1.18 (GTK3) desktop environment.
-Mate Tweak is installed and functional
-Revenge Tools Application
-Default Dark Theme

I've been dreading making this announcement, but here goes...
OBRevenge OS will no longer be supporting i686 (32bit) architecture.
The writing has been on the wall for i686 for quite some time. Several months ago, Arch Linux announced that they would be phasing out support for 32bit. The Arch Linux iso's have not supported i686 installations for a couple of months now, and support for i686 packages will end in November. Because OBR uses an Arch Linux base, my ability to support i686 is dependent on them.
Existing installations will continue to receive updates through November; however, by then I strongly encourage i686 users to move to another system that will continue to support them with security updates.
The OBRevenge 2017.04 release will be x86_64 (64bit) only.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey guys! So the mate-desktop stack recently updated, requiring an update of the deps of the control panel and the panel switcher. With these updates, I'd recommend removing the two packages mentioned above, updating, and reinstalling after the update is done.
Also, recent changes in pamac made it so pamac itself handles aur packages, not yaourt or pacaur, so pamac-pacaur is gone
On top of that, I added plex-media-server, updated pamac, chrome-dev, chromium-widevine, and pepper-flash. Have a great day and let us know about any issues you guys are having either on G+ or in the forum,
Hey guys! I know I haven't been very active lately as I've been trying to finish up some things in school before break. With that said, here's the rundown:
removed vivaldi, I'm going to continue to dedicate to chromium and maybe push out inox, ungoogled, or iridium next time one gets an update
Did add google-chrome-dev to the repo just for the heck of it
Updated green-recorder, palemoon, jgmenu, arc-firefox-theme(though this will probably be due for another update soon), obmenu-generator, openbox-arc-git, pacaur, pamac-pacaur, telegram, and chromium widevine. If you guys have any trouble with any of the applications, do not hesitate to let us know in G+ or on te forum.
Also, you may have noticed that tint2 got an update! Let us know what you think about it and also don't hesitate to share your rc's in the forum or on G+(I may have to go make a separate section on the forum).
-default file manager changed to thunar
(this should fix bugs with mounting, accessing drives)
-new gtk3 control panel
-new software install tool
-new openbox menu (right click menu)
(see advanced settings->obmenu generator for options)
-added numix icon themes
-new default wallpaper
-new default conky's
-new default lightdm theme
-fixed bugs in flash installer and codecs installer (added extra packages to be installed)
The Software Installation Tool and the Control Panel have been updated to use the gtk3 framework. Specifically, the software tool is a bit more robust, with icons and descriptions added to the interface.
Update now and check it out!
Hey guys, I pushed a repo update earlier so here's all it entails:
I renamed palemoon, telegram, and ghetto-skype so installation will be a little bit easier from the command line
I removed owlman(pacaur is fairly similar anyway, but much better)
And I added google-chrome(64-bit), Vivaldi(both arches), and some stuff to make browsing better for you(pipelight, pepper-flash, chromium-widevine)
I also updated jgmenu to run the necessary commands to get up and running right after you install it and pamac-pacaur to the actual version from the aur and not my hacked together version
Let me know how the update goes, and if you have any issues whatsoever, let us know in the forums or in google plus. Have a great weekend!
